SurfCity Networks™, Inc. Acquires Wisetec Networks Broadband Customers

Acquisition leverages industry consolidation

Huntington Beach, CA

Huntington Beach, CA, January 12, 2004 - SurfCity Networks, a customer service leader in Broadband Internet Access, announced its acquisition of Wisetec Networks' broadband customers, a niche provider of Broadband Internet Access. SurfCity Networks brings a heritage of strong, responsive customer service and one of the fastest nationwide networks available with over 100,000 miles of fiber optic cable to Wisetec customers.

David Saylor, SurfCity Networks CEO stated, "It's difficult for the smaller players to maintain profitability in a tightening market." He explains that reducing overhead by eliminating redundancies through acquisition makes more sense now than ever as is evidenced by the continued consolidation of the Broadband industry. Mr. Saylor added, "it is imperative we make operations as efficient as possible and reduce overhead to avoid cutting customer services. Our customers are our number one concern."

The company will incorporate the former Wisetec customer circuits into its Huntington Beach, CA and Irvine, CA facilities. This acquisition will allow Wisetec Networks customers to receive the highest levels of service and support.
