Voice Mail
SurfCity voice mail provides a powerful and flexible way to manage
voice mail messaging. Features can be accessed directly from
your digital phone service or from any outside line. Some settings
must be assessed using your personal webpage. Features include:
- Record name and multiple greetings
- Store messages in multiple message folders
- Forward messages to another mailbox (business
users only)
- Voicemail messages can be forwarded to your
email as .wav file attachments, allowing you to listen to them
from your computer
- You can elect to receive an email message
whenever you receive a voice mail message
Caller-ID
You can tell who's calling you before you answer the phone. SurfCity
Caller ID will show you the phone number of your incoming caller on
your phone’s Caller ID display whenever it is available. It's
compatible with any Caller ID touch-tone phone or device. It's an
excellent way to manage your incoming calls
Call Waiting
SurfCity Call Waiting allows you to accept an incoming call while
you're already on a phone call. This feature places your first call
on hold while you answer the second incoming call.
Disable Call Waiting.
If you want to keep Call Waiting active, but want to turn it off for
a single call, you can temporarily disable call waiting until you
complete the phone call.
Call Transfer
SurfCity Call Transfer allows you to transfer any call to any other
telephone number. When transferring a call you may either transfer a
call as a "Blind Transfer" causing the call to be immediately
transferred, or use an "Announced Transfer" to alert the call
recipient in advance that you are transferring a call to them
For billing purposes, transferred calls continue to be billed to the
originating party until terminated.
3-Way Calling
Surfcity 3-Way Calling allows you to connect 3 parties no matter
where they are located. With SurfCity 3-Way Calling, you can connect
with two other parties at the same time, allowing all 3 parties to
talk at once. You are not charged a fee to make 3-Way Calls if you
are calling within the contiguous 48 states. If you are calling
internationally, your call will be billed incrementally based on
that country rate, but there will be no extra fee for making the
3-Way Call.
For billing purposes, 3-Way Calls are treated as two separate calls
that happen at the same time.
Call Forwarding.
SurfCity Call Forwarding allows you to send any incoming calls to
any phone number you choose. Call forwarding can be managed from
your personal webpage, from your digital phone line or from an
outside line.
Online Call History
You can view your outgoing and incoming call history from your
personal phone service webpage.
Personal Webpage.
Your Surfcity Phone Service Webpage allows you to view your phone
system configuration, manage system settings and view your account
history. You can even use our secure online interface to pay your
monthly phone bill.
